We are within easy walking distance from the canal and Blockhouse Museum and are surrounded by interesting shops and antique boutiques. Merrickville boasts a large artists community and a walking tour will introduce you to unique arts and crafts from skilled artisans who often perform their art before your eyes. From pottery, glass-blowing, painting and jewelry making, your tour will be interesting and educational.

From Hwy 401 go North at the Maitland exit. After a pleasant 20 minute drive you will be transported back to Charles Dickens'day.

Boaters on the canal need only to watch for lock 21.
